The Black Pearl on the Columbia event center is a new venue in the Washougal neighborhood sitting on the Columbia River with the most beautiful view of Mt. Hood.

The Black Pearl is the perfect space to gather whether you are a corporation, a non-profit or an individual looking to have a wedding or an event. With the floor to ceiling windows and the concrete floor, our venue is a blank canvas allowing any kind of theme or design. Our event and design team, WE Plan It, is ready to take the ordinary and create extraordinary.

Owner, Kimberly Sherertz, has always wanted an event space for the community. Her husband, William Sherertz, bought the old Parker House  in 2009, demolished and began construction in 2010, in hopes to make a restaurant. William wanted a place where the community could come together and enjoy good food. After passing away in January of 2011, Kim decided to turn the space into a gathering center in honor of him.

Kim and her kids love being involved in the community and have entrepreneur hearts. William Cole and Elizabeth, enjoy golfing, baseball, school/college, church and non profits.  Her older daughters, Alexandra and Sarah, are career professionals living in Washington D.C. and California.
